The justice cut: " Our body" exhibition is closed

This is an exceptional fact in the artistic world. The Court of Appeal of Paris confirmed today the ban on the anatomical exhibition "Our Body"which exhibited true human bodies. " Not having received any pieces justifying the traceability of the bodies ", the Court of Appeal of Paris confirmed the emergency proceeding of April 21st, and took back the argumentations of "infringement on the human dignity " pleaded by Richard Sédillot, the lawyer of the associations Together against the capital punishment and China Solidarity. Indeed, " the Encore Events company (organizer of the exhibition) does not presented any proof required, of the licit and not fraudulent origin of the litigious bodies and the existence of any legal consent". That is what was indicated in the decision of the Court of Appeal.
Following the decision of the French justice, Richard Sédillot confirmed the verdict, revolted against the project « Our Body ». He has indicated that the experts were more and more convinced that this exhibition was concealing a traffic of human bodies. He hopes henceforth that " the French decision is going to make people aware of the problem and that the other brave associations will lodge a complaint against other similar exhibitions in the world ".
On the other hand, the justice did not order examinations of bodies, what would help to reveal more clearly their origin.
The court also condemned the organizer and producer of the exhibition, Pascal Bernardin, to compensate «Together against the capital punishment» and «Solidarity China» for expenses engaged in the complaint. Pascal Bernardin announced that he would continue the judicial battle, and would carry the affair in front of the judge. He had intended to transfer the exhibition, started in February from the Parisian district of Madeleine , to the Floral Park of Paris from May 22nd until August 23rd.

A 59-year-old Quebec IT specialist, Michel Paradis, has revealed this morning in the daily newspaper "Le Provence" that he is Charles Trenet's son. The man was apparently born from a love affair between his mother Lise Roy, an ex singer and actress, and the French singer. A judicial procedure is being processed since Tuesday in the Family Court of Créteil (Val-de-MArne). That is the department where Charles Trenet lived until his death in February 2001.
